This colourful collection of proverbs was drawn from previously published sources and a social media contest encouraging young people of the Pacific Islands to send in the traditional aphorisms of their individual communities. Each proverb appears in English translation alongside multiple languages of the region, highlighting unique values, knowledge and ways of living. The book came about as a result of the pandemic and reflects its impact on the lives of the islanders as well as their cultural resilience, co operation and kindness.
